Gospel Sing

Last year one highlight was the reunion of the Dunn Mountain Boys at the Sunday Gospel sing!

Featured Pickin' Party Bands and other great musicians from the area perform Gospel favorites to an audience that loves to sing along!

Our Great Line-up for 2008 includes:

Richard Eich, fiddler, singer, and guitiarist for Northern Underground, founded the band in February 2007.  In addition to fiddle and guitar, Richard picks a mean mandolin and is an instructor in all the bluegrass instruments.  He is joined by the sweet vocals of Abby Hodges on mandolin and Alicia Heinen on rhythm guitar. Both in their teens, these young ladies set a quick pace, blending their voices on gospel, bluegrass, and origianl tunes.  Bringing banjo to the band, Keith Fletcher burns it up with traditional  breakdowns and melodic licks that fill in the mix. Keith's mom, Connie Fletcher of  the Fletcher Girls, sings a few tunes and adds harmony vocals while driving out the tempo on bass fiddle.

The Panhandle Polecats have been raising a ruckus around the Inland
Northwest with their traditional bluegrass for the last several years.  They hail
from the
North Idaho panhandle where they were raised in their little mountain
home on the Rathdrum prairie.  This band is made up of five siblings who love to
play music almost as much as they love to fight with each other.

Dominion Mountain is formed by Terry and Joyce Foster. Joined by Shasta Hincke and Phillip Brown, they perform a variety of bluegrass, Gospel and old time tunes.
Kettle Creek  started from an occasional jam session has grown and flourished into a reputable and high energy entertainment experience. 2007 was a stellar year for this dedicated group of musicians with performances scheduled on the same stage as The Seldom Scene, The Infamous Stringdusters, Steve Kaufman and Gary Davis, Dan Crary and Thunderation along with many others.
The Engell Family hails from Stevens County and has toured all over the west; from Washington to Arizona. They are enthusiastically received where ever the play. We are glad to have them this year as a part of the 2008 Pickin' Party!

RedWing is a group of talented young ladies, They play oldtime, bluegrass, celtic, french Canadian and swing tunes. They play upbeat, toe-tapping fiddle music and their 3 part vocals complete the show. They have played extensively in the Spokane area.

More great acts to come. Stay tuned!
