Activities:

Of course there will be lots of jamming, but also look for:

    • Workshops for guitar, banjo, mandolin and other instruments as well.
    • A flatpickin' guitar contest (see rules below)
    • Our ever popular Band Scramble.
    • Great food.
    • Oh, and did we say "Jamming everywhere"

 SOLO GUITAR CONTEST

All you guitar players out there be sure to enter our solo guitar contest! Entry fee is just $5.00

 RULES:

  1. You must play 2 tunes of your choice.
  2. One Tune should be faster and one slower.
  3. You are allowed one accompanist.
  4. Only instrumental pieces are allowed, no vocals.
  5. Try to keep your 2 songs to 5 minutes.

JUDGING:

The judges will judge on: Timing, ability and showmanship.

PRIZES:

 Cash prizes will be awarded to the two contestants with the highest scores. The 3rd place winner will receive a non- cash reward

Sign up early by calling Laurie at 935-6714 or sign up at the RED, WHITE & BLUEGRASS Family Pickin’ Party’s office before 1:00 pm Saturday June 30th.

The contest will be held at approximately 2:00 pm Saturday June 30th on the Center Stage.
